Description
The hardwood planter has a beautiful, natural appearance. It comes into its own particularly well in Mediterranean gardens.
The hardwood planter gives gardens a durable and warm look. This is because the planter is made of tropical hardwood. All our hardwood has durability class 2 and lasts up to 25 years. By using hardwood, we create a planter that fits perfectly among all the greenery in the garden.
Due to the high durability class of the wood, this hardwood planter requires no further treatment. The planter will turn grey over time. The greying of the planter does not affect the quality. We also use only high-quality stainless steel fasteners during assembly, and the bottom is lined with root barrier fabric.
Specifications
- 5-year warranty.
- Hardwood planters are strong and wear-resistant.
- We only use hardwood with durability class 2 in our hardwood planters.
- Material thickness of the hardwood is a minimum of 21 mm.
- Customization is possible.
Points to note
- Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture is not trapped between the packaging and the product. This can cause stains that are difficult to remove.
- Every type of (hard)wood turns grey under the influence of the sun, weather, and wind. The final color depends partly on the initial color of the hardwood.
Wood is a natural product that shrinks or expands depending on temperature and moisture content. Regularly oiling the wood ensures that the moisture content remains more stable and limits shrinkage and expansion. We recommend using Woca oil for this.
We use stainless steel screws. Like almost all types of wood, hardwood reacts to contact with iron. This can cause severe discoloration, which may look like mold.
- Remove metal splinters from tools (bits and drills) beforehand.
- Avoid contact with lawn fertilizer and cement (these contain traces of iron).
- The planter is not suitable for moving once filled.
Planting advice
- Fill the planter with approx. 10 cm of hydro granules.
- Place a water-permeable root barrier fabric over this.
- Apply soil suitable for your type of planting on top of this.
