Qua verzorging is hij ontzettend makkelijk: de Monstera gedijt uitstekend op een standplaats met indirect zonlicht of halfschaduw. Geef wekelijks water zodat de goed doorlatende potgrond licht vochtig blijft, en voed de plant maandelijks tijdens de groeiperiode in de lente en zomer.
