The natural look of the Corten steel matches the stacked wood perfectly. The LOGG Corten steel turns orange-brown over time. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion.

Important points to note:

  • Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular stains.
  • Always place the wood storage on a flat, stable surface.
  • Use the wall mounting to guarantee the stability of the wood storage.
  • Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of the Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions. With our rust accelerator you can make your product rust faster.
  • Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is an impregnating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rusting through. Owatrol protects the material and ensures that it no longer stains.
  • We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km from a coastline.
  • During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
  • The warranty is void if you drill or grind into the material in a manner not prescribed.
  • Clean annually by spraying coarse dirt off the product with tap water.
