The powerful and warm-looking corten steel wall is a perfect addition to gardens. The wall provides more structure. It can also be used to create a wind-free corner or provide more privacy. Thanks to the hollow construction, provisions can be added as a custom option so that you can easily add accessories such as lighting to the wall. Ensure that the wall is always firmly anchored in the ground. The powerful and warm appearance of the wall is partly due to the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this wall. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This ensures the wall has a long lifespan.

  • Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
  • Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the wall and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains.

Important points to note:

  • Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains.
  • Ensure the wall is always securely fixed, in or on the ground. Our walls have a folded lip of approximately 5 cm at the bottom on both sides for attachment to a solid surface.
  • Corten steel must not be constantly exposed to moisture.
  • We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km from a coastline.
  • During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
  • The warranty is void if you drill or grind in a manner not prescribed.
  • Clean annually by spraying coarse dirt off the product with tap water.
