A new shape, characterized by the same angles as those of a set square. Our Corten steel TRIANGLE has a warm appearance and also combines beautifully with other Corten steel elements in the garden. For when you want something just a little different!
The planter gets its warm appearance from the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this planter.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This ensures you will enjoy the TRIANGLE for a long time.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- 5-year warranty.
- Corten steel planters are very strong, wear-resistant, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and durable.
- Includes feet (15 mm) and drainage holes. This ensures that the planter floats slightly above the ground and has optimal drainage.
- Standard material thickness of the Corten steel is 2 mm.
- Contact us for customisation options.
- Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4 – 5 months, depending on weather conditions. With our rust accelerator, you can make the planter rust faster.
- Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust penetration. Owatrol therefore protects the planter and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains.
Important points to note:
- Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains.
- Ensures good drainage.
- Do not use an overflow pipe: no excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The material can then rust through due to a combination of oxygen and soil.
- Do not use hydro granules: these retain moisture.
- We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km from a coastline.
- During the rusting process, rust water may run off the product.
PLANTING ADVICE:
- Provide the bottom with a layer of Ø35 mm sorting pebbles (approx. 10 cm).
- Place a water-permeable root barrier fabric over the pebbles.
- Cover the root barrier fabric with soil suitable for your type of planting.
- Do not use an overflow pipe: no excess water should remain standing in the Corten steel planter. The material can then rust through due to a combination of oxygen and soil.
