Corten Steel Outdoor Kitchen DAMM Features
Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and use the top to prepare food. The solid top is actually a griddle, suitable for contact grilling and for use with pots and kettles. So you can use the FORNO DAMM in two ways!
With Forno, you can easily expand your patio with an outdoor fireplace with a cooking plate. Use a spatula to easily scrape the griddle clean. Just wipe it with a damp cloth and the griddle is ready for the next use. So, easy to maintain!
The DAMM is made of Corten steel and therefore turns orange-brown over time. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion.
Personalize your DAMM by optionally adding our wooden, bamboo, and/or stainless steel worktops. This allows you to create extra workspace. Hooks are also attached to the wooden and bamboo countertop, on which you can hang cooking utensils.

Corten Steel Outdoor Kitchen DAMM Points to Consider
- The griddle functions best after it has been used once or twice and the oil has been burned into the plate. Cooking on the griddle becomes easier after this ‘burning in’ and protects the plate against rust when not in use.
- You can easily scrape the griddle clean with oil and a spatula. By applying a final layer of oil to the griddle before storing it, you prevent rust.
- The DAMM does not come standard with the side attachments. These must be ordered separately.
- Use one wall bracket per meter of flue pipe. Or use a roof flashing.
- Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust spots.
- Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
- We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline.
- It is best to fry on the griddle using vegetable oil with a high smoke point, such as peanut oil or sunflower oil.
- Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against the rust. Owatrol protects the product and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains.
- Clean annually by spraying off coarse dirt on the product with tap water.
