Thymus praecox ‘Purple Beauty’ is a low-growing, evergreen ground cover with fine, aromatic green foliage and beautiful purple flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. This compact herbaceous plant is ideal for rock gardens, sunny borders, mass planting, and as a ground cover between paving or stones. Thymus praecox ‘Purple Beauty’ grows best in a sunny location in well-drained, calcareous soil. The plant is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, hardy, and very attractive to bees and butterflies.
