The Hedera helix is one of the easiest plants for the garden or balcony:

• Light: This climber is not picky and grows everywhere, from bright sun to full shade.

• Water: In open ground, it needs little extra water, except during warm, dry summers. Is the ivy in a pot? Then ensure that the soil always remains slightly moist.

• Pruning: The Hedera helix is a fast grower. By pruning it back heavily twice a year (May and September), you encourage compact and dense growth.

• Winter hardiness: This native species is fully winter hardy and resistant to the harshest weather conditions.
