Water for your orchid:
Water your orchid once a week by submerging the plastic nursery pot in water. Allow the orchid to drain well afterwards before placing it back in the decorative pot. Check the roots first before watering. Are the roots light grey? Then water. Are the roots dark green? You do not need to water. Give your orchid some extra pampering by using orchid food once every two months.
Orchid location:
- Bright spot, out of direct sunlight, with room temperatures between 17 and 22 degrees.
– Do not place near a stove or heater, as this air is too dry for the orchid.
– Not next to a fruit bowl. Many types of fruit release a natural substance that accelerates the aging process.
