Corten steel rust accelerator

Corten steel products are supplied unrusted. The rusting process of the
Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
With this biological rust accelerator, you can make your product rust faster.
This biological rust accelerator has been specially developed for accelerated and
controlled oxidation of weather-resistant steel, such as Corten steel. After treatment with our rust accelerator, your product will acquire the characteristic orange-brown rust color of Corten steel faster.

Instructions for Use Corten Steel Rust Accelerator

1. Degrease the Corten steel surface and then let it dry thoroughly.
2. Spray the product with the rust accelerator.
3. Distribute the rust accelerator evenly over the product with a brush or roller. 500ml covers approximately 10m².

   Corten Steel Rust Accelerator Tips

   For more uniform rust formation, we recommend applying a second layer of rust accelerator. Do this by following the steps above again. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material is covered with a protective layer of rust through oxidation. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion.
