Corten steel: Corten steel, also known as weathering steel, is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, Corten steel becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural, solid rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. Corten steel is characterized by its brown-orange rust color and long lifespan. Products are supplied unrusted.
