Description
The Corten steel staircase is a robust staircase that allows you to effortlessly bridge height differences in gardens. The natural color and thickness of the material give the staircase a luxurious and timeless appearance. It certainly combines well with other Corten steel elements in the garden!
The luxurious and timeless appearance of the staircase is, as mentioned, partly due to the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this staircase.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This ensures the staircase has a long lifespan.
