The powerful and warm appearance of the retaining wall is partly due to the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this planter.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan.

Important points to note:
- Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains.
- Corten steel must not be constantly exposed to moisture.
- We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline.
- During the rusting process, rust water may run off the product.
