This base plate is for your bottomless Corten steel planter. This Corten steel planter gives gardens a powerful and warm appearance. This is due to the orange-brown color of the material, which forms through a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this planter.

Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan.

• Standard material thickness of the Corten steel is 2 mm.
• Supplied as a self-assembly product.
• Includes bolts, nuts, and an assembly manual.
• Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
• Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the planter and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains.
