Our ponds are coated on the inside with polyurea. This prevents the pond from rusting through. Additionally, our ponds are equipped with a fixed overflow pipe and optionally with through-holes.

The color of corten steel is orange-brown and is formed by a natural rust layer. Another name for corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on the material.

Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. As a result, the ponds have a long lifespan.

• Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.

Points to note

• Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture is not trapped between the packaging and the product. This can cause irregular rust stains.
• We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline.
• During the rusting process, rust water may run off the product.
• The warranty is void if you drill or grind in a manner that is not prescribed.
