With the retaining wall featuring a seating edge, you can quickly create an extra seating spot. With the prefab system, you can easily connect the retaining walls seamlessly. The powerful and warm appearance of the retaining wall is partly due to the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this planter. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan. Corten Steel Retaining Wall Specifications: 5-year warranty. Corten steel retaining walls are very strong, wear-resistant, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and durable. Includes prefab system and stainless steel accessories. Customization is possible. Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions. Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the retaining wall and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains. Important points to note: Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains. Corten steel must not be constantly exposed to moisture. We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline. During the rusting process, rust water may run off the product.
