The Corten steel staircase is a robust staircase that allows you to effortlessly bridge height differences in gardens. The natural color and thickness of the material give the staircase a luxurious and timeless appearance. It certainly combines well with other Corten steel elements in the garden! The luxurious and timeless appearance of the staircase is, as mentioned, partly due to the orange-brown color of the material. This color is formed by a natural layer of rust. Another name for Corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive influence on this staircase. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This ensures the staircase has a long lifespan. Specifications 5-year warranty. Excluding mounting material. Includes mounting option on the underside. Corten steel staircases are very strong, wear-resistant, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and durable. Standard material thickness of the Corten steel is 3 mm. Customization is possible for the width of the staircase. Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions. Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the stairs and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains. Points to note Our stairs are delivered fully welded and assembled. Stairs with 8 or more steps must be installed with a slope. Therefore, they cannot be installed cantilevered. Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust spots. Corten steel must not be constantly exposed to moisture. We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline. During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product. The warranty is void if you drill or grind in a manner not prescribed. Clean annually by spraying coarse dirt off the product with tap water.
