Origin and Growing Conditions
Originating from the rainforests of Central and South America, the Monstera Monkey Leaf thrives best in indirect light. This plant requires minimal maintenance and is perfect for anyone looking for an easy yet impressive houseplant. Monsteras grow well in a spot with partial shade or shade, where direct sunlight should be avoided.
Monstera Monkey Care and Maintenance
- Water: Water the Monstera once a week, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
- Soil: Ensure well-draining potting soil, preferably enriched with organic material such as peat moss.
- Fertilization: Stimulate growth by adding a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during the growing season. Ensure that you dilute the fertilizer according to the instructions to prevent over-fertilization.
