Description
Appearance of the plant: The Calathea Makoyana, also known as the Peacock Plant, has large, oval leaves with a striking pattern. The top of the leaves is light green with dark green spots, while the underside has a deep red tint. The leaves can grow up to 45 cm tall and the pot has a diameter of 17 cm.
Location: The Calathea Makoyana thrives best in a spot with indirect light, preferably in partial shade. Direct sunlight can damage the leaves. This plant is perfect for indoors.
Water requirements: This plant likes moist soil. Ensure that the potting soil remains constantly slightly moist, but avoid the roots standing in water. Water approximately twice a week, depending on the humidity in your home.
