Persicaria bistorta is a strong, perennial plant with grey-green foliage and striking, cylindrical flower spikes that bloom from late spring to mid-summer in beautiful pink to purplish-red. This robust plant is ideal for moist borders, natural gardens, and pond edges, where it adds height and structure. Persicaria bistorta grows best in a sunny to semi-shaded location in well-moistened, nutritious soil. The plant is low-maintenance, hardy, and attracts bees and butterflies.
