Corten steel is a special metal alloy consisting of iron, copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. This material forms a natural rust layer when exposed to the outdoors, which protects against further corrosion. This makes Corten steel particularly durable and low-maintenance.

Important Points to Consider

• Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process takes 4-5 months and can be fixed with Owatrol.
• Unpack immediately upon receipt to prevent irregular rust stains.
• Corten steel is not recommended within 2 km of a coastline.
• During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
• Do not drill or grind in a manner not prescribed.
• The pH value of the water should be neutral (7).

Winter use

In case of frost, it is important to take precautions:

• Unplug the pump.
• Lower the water level to 10 cm below the rim.
• Use an anti-frost device to prevent damage.
• The pump can remain in the water if the above conditions are met, or store this underwater in a frost-free place.
