The rusting process of Corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions. Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the edging and ensures that the Corten steel no longer stains. Optionally, the strips can be provided with mounting holes (4x2 holes = : : : : ). Important points to note: Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains. We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline. During the rusting process, rust water may run off the product. Clean annually by spraying off coarse dirt on the edging with tap water.
