The final color depends partly on the initial color.\n• Wood is a natural product that “works”; depending on temperature and moisture content, it can shrink, crack, or expand.\n• Hardwood can turn black on Corten steel; eventually, it will turn gray.\n• Corten steel must never be constantly exposed to moisture; it must be well-drained and ventilated in all situations.\n• Corten steel products are supplied unrusted; we use only Corten steel type S355JOWP.\n• Coastal areas: We advise against using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km of a coastline.\n• During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product, which can result in staining.\n• Drilling\/grinding into the material is not permitted.\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMaintenance\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e• Regular cleaning (WOCA exterior cleaner) and oiling (WOCA exterior oil) of the wood ensures that the pigment in the wood is preserved longer and the discoloration process is slowed down.\n• Clean annually by removing coarse dirt by rinsing with clean tap water.\n\nCaution!
